Peter and Mariana have been in love all their lives.

But one night Peter makes a choice in anger that forces him to leave her behind.

Guilt and fear lead him to the Army, where he becomes Captain Kane, war hero.

But even that is not enough to make him forget his humiliation or love for Mariana.

But when Peter is injured in Iraq, he finds himself given a second chance from God Himself.
