I didn't care that my brother Sam kept calling me names like Groper Head and Fish Freak. And I didn't mind that Sam was sporty and popular, while I was the very opposite.

All I wanted was to buy two Mexican Walking Fish to add to my collection of sea creatures.

Scientific name: axolotls. They were the greatest little guys, each with tiny, feathery gills and little legs and feet.

I nearly got them too - until the day of my birthday.

How was I to know the last crayfish left in the tank at the Chinese restaurant was going to change my life?

Robbie Robinson is keen on all kinds of marine life.

He'd love to have friends; it's just that to his schoolmates he seems a bit peculiar.

So Robbie is rapt when Theodore, the new boy at school, makes friends with him.
