The Lewisham Book Award has been running for many years and seeks to bring a range of engaging and quality new books to pupils across our London borough in Years 7 and 8 (younger list) and Years 9 and 10 (older list).  As school librarians we meet together to whittle down our shortlists from the many great titles published in the past 18 months.  We are from a range of schools: private, LEA, Academies, mixed and single sex; the lists themselves include a diversity of genres and authors, with ideally at least one having a local connection.
