    • Yes, concurrent access licences support multiple students reading the same title simultaneously. The number of concurrent users will depend on the licence type selected.

    • No, credits reset free of charge every year to their original purchased value (e.g. 400 credits) on the anniversary of purchase. You only pay if you choose to top up early.

    • All illustrations, colour photographs and graphics are displayed exactly as they appear in the print edition.

    • No, purchased titles remain available even if a publisher withdraws them from the catalogue.


Reading Online

    • Only a web browser is required, with no plugins needed. All major browsers are supported.

Downloading

    • The VLeBooks app allows students to access content offline and on the go. Students can sign in to the app using a code provided when accessing their institution account.

    • Yes, downloads can be disabled at the platform, licence or individual title level.

    • Yes, downloads expire automatically at the end of the loan period, freeing up access for other users.

    • When the download period ends, the book is automatically removed from the VLeBooks app and the title becomes available to borrow again.

Access & Authentication

    • Login can be managed via username and password, IP authentication, or SSO integrations including Microsoft 365, Open Athens, RM Unify, Shibboleth and Google.
