Get physical! : an inclusive, therapeutic P.E. programme to develop motor skills

"Get Physical!" is a unique physical education scheme that covers the National Curriculum programme of study for games and gymnastics at Key Stage 1.

Designed as an inclusive PE scheme for all children, the materials provide focused support for those children with specific motor difficulties.

The book has been developed by Lois Addy, a paediatric occupational therapist and senior lecturer who has written extensively on helping children with perceptual and motor difficulties.

Equally suitable for use by class teachers, occupational therapists or physiotherapists, the book provides you with 40 clear and detailed lesson plans that: cover the National Curriculum in a fun, enjoyable way; develop important perceptual and motor process skills in all children; are formative and diagnostic, enabling you to identify individual areas of need; help you to integrate learning in PE with other aspects of the curriculum.

No specialist equipment is required, and low-cost alternatives to standard school sports apparatus are suggested where possible.
