"Freestyle" is a new, fully accessible range of books tailored for 11-15 year old pupils with a reading age of 8 years.

The range uses a simplified version of the "Freestyle" layout, making it easier for the less confident reader to follow. 'Material Matters' provides a simple and clear introduction to materials, their properties and uses, featuring plenty of unusual and everyday examples that relate directly to the readers' lives.

It offers a comprehensive coverage of the KS3 science curriculum and contains a wide range of photographs, fact boxes, new words band on each spread and search tips.
