Frieda

1940s British war drama directed by Basil Dearden. Following the conclusion of WWII, RAF pilot Robert (David Farrar) returns to his Oxfordshire home with his German bride Frieda (Mai Zetterling), who helped him escape from a prisoner-of-war camp in Nazi Germany.

As the newly-wed couple contend with hostility from the villagers, their predicament worsens with the arrival of Frieda's brother Richard (Albert Lieven).
