Application of number: Skillbuilder for care - Skillbuilder for Health and Social Care

One of a series which supports the learning of and use of core skills in vocational contexts, this pack is for Application of Number core skill which for most GNVQ students and modern apprentices has been the most difficult. The range for the application of number units specifies forty-plus techniques to be mastered.

The materials are based on a detailed analysis of these techniques and how they relate to the vocational context. The "Skillbuilder" packs provide vocationally relevant examples to Care and provide exercises for everyone of the techniques in the range specified for levels 1,2 and 3.

Teacher's notes include answers to exercises, ideas for generating additional exercises and tips for supporting learners. This "Skillbuilder" for care contains hundreds of examples and is intended for A Level students and trainees taking an NVQ in Health and Social Care courses at levels 1,2 and 3. There are two companion books entitled "Application of Number Project Packs" (foundation/intermediate and advanced) which extends relevant tasks from the CRAC GNVQ Assignment Packs so as to cover every technique for Application of Number. They include teacher support and grids mapping the assignments to the core skills range.
