Captain America: The First Avenger

Chris Evans stars as Steve Rogers in this superhero action adventure directed by Joe Johnston.

Despite being rejected mutiple times by the U.S. Army because of his poor health and small build, Rogers is determined to serve his country.

Impressed with his resolve, Dr. Abraham Erskine (Stanley Tucci) recruits him for an experimental programme which successfully transforms him into the super-soldier Captain America.

Meanwhile, high-ranking Nazi and Hydra leader Johann Schmidt (Hugo Weaving) seeks to harness the powers of a mysterious artefact called the Tesseract to eliminate all those who oppose him.

Rogers teams up with his best friend Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and leads his new unit in the fight against Schmidt but he proves to be a formidable foe.

The cast also includes Tommy Lee Jones, Hayley Atwell and Toby Jones.
