This text aims to present a complete history of votive tablets in Thailand. Originating with the introduction of Buddhism in the 6th century CE, the practice of making votive tablets has endured in the immense popularity of amulets among Thai people today.

Photographs are included of rarely-seen tablets from private collections as well as from museums across Thailand and in the USA.

The author is the great-great-granddaughter of King Chulalongkorn.
