Harry Hamlin and Judi Bowker star in this fantasy adventure directed by Desmond Davis.

As the son of Zeus (Laurence Olivier), Perseus (Hamlin) is forced to undergo many trials in his life.

He wins Princess Andromeda (Bowker)'s hand in marriage but when the goddess Thetis (Maggie Smith) demands that Andromeda be sacrificed to the monstrous Kraken, Perseus undertakes a desperate quest to save her.

He must slay the gorgon Medusa and use her head to turn the Kraken to stone but with so many foes opposing him, will he succeed?

The cast also includes Siân Phillips, Ursula Andress and Claire Bloom.
