This is the first glimpse of a remarkable archive of railway photographs that has remained unpublished for over thirty years.

Rex Conway's first three books were published in the mid-1970s, and since then his archive has been gathering dust.

Through this selection of 200 outstanding photographs, we find out how Rex became interested in railways, and accompany him on the numerous expeditions he undertook around the UK during the golden years of steam.
