This book explores the experience of dementia from the perspective of the older person with dementia and their family carers, using a social gerontological perspective.

A series of case studies are used to illustrate the person's journey with dementia.

This will contribute to understanding the societal context and which factors promote and inhibit quality of life for older people with dementia.
