Cissy's War

‘Cissy’s War’ is a riveting and truly emotionally engaging novel about how a colossal tragedy can change the shape of the future.

This dramatic story shows the main character having to come to terms with the loss of her entire family and the only life she knew. Cissy Browning adores living in the East End of London with her parents and siblings in 1939.

When the Second World War starts she hopes that it won’t interfere, too much, with her cosy existence.

First, Cissy’s close friend, Dolly, is evacuated then almost all of Cissy’s family are killed in an air raid.
