1950s British drama directed by Charles Crichton. During the Second World War, a young boy who is presumed to be an orphan of war is adopted by a German couple, Franz and Inga Hartl (Armin Dahlen and Cornell Borchers).

However, after a number of years his real mother, Sonja (Yvonne Mitchell), locates him and attempts to regain custody.
