Director's cut of this stylish and surreal horror set in the deserts of Nambia and South Africa.

Wendy (Chelsea Field) is a young woman on the verge of suicide after the collapse of her marriage.

Travelling along the desert roads, she meets a mysterious hitchhiker (Robert Burke), although little does she know that he is wanted in connection with several brutal ritual murders.

As Wendy travels with the killer, a local policeman consults a shaman who tells him that the hitchhiking murderer is a manifestation of the Dust Devil, a legendary shape-shifting spirit.

As Wendy discovers more about her mysterious passenger, her ex-husband Mark (Rufus Swart) sets off to track her down.
