Emperor of the North

Lee Marvin, Ernest Borgnine and Keith Carradine star in this US adventure drama.

Set in Oregon at the height of the Great Depression, the film concerns itself with a small community of tramps who ride the railroads across the state.

Borgnine stars as the sadistic railroad guard Shack who vows to kill any man stealing rides on his train.

However, it seems the hobo A-No.1 (Marvin) can't resist the challenge of trying to outsmart him, with Cigaret (Carradine) tagging along for the ride.
