The Escapist

Gritty action escape thriller following a rag-tag group of cons' attempt to break out.

Frank Perry (Brian Cox) is serving a life sentence without parole when he hatches a plot to escape from prison in order to reconcile his relationship with his daughter who is in a critical condition after a drugs overdose.

Gathering an unlikely group of fellow convicts around him, including the prison's drug dealer Viv (Seu Jorge) and silent muscle Lenny (Joseph Fiennes), Frank, realising he's still short on bodies, is soon forced to take along a number of the less stable elements of the prison population, with all the risks that they bring.
