Floating Skyscrapers

Polish gay-themed drama directed by Tomasz Wasilewski.

The story follows competitive swimmer Kuba (Mateusz Banasiuk) who shares an apartment with girlfriend Sylwia (Marta Nieradkiewicz) and his overbearing mother Ewa (Katarzyna Herman).

Unbeknownst to Sylwia, Kuba has begun to take an interest in men and engages in a number of illicit encounters during his visits to the gym, but, being a slave to passion, these encounters seem only physical in nature.

That is, until he meets college student Michal (Bartosz Gelner) at an exhibition opening and a more serious relationship begins to develop.

It is only then that Kuba starts to realise the difference between sexual orientation and sexual promiscuity, leading to increasing tension in his relationship with Sylwia.
