The Florida Project

Willem Dafoe and Brooklynn Prince star in this US drama co-written and directed by Sean Baker.

The film follows Moonee (Prince), an adventurous six-year-old girl who moves to the Florida city of Kissimmee for the summer.

Staying in the long-stay Magic Castle Motel with her unstable mother Halley (Bria Vinaite), Moonee quickly settles in and makes friends with Jancey (Valeria Cotto), a young girl staying in a nearby guest house.

With Halley out most nights trying to scrape together enough money to pay the rent, Moonee forms a strong bond with motel owner Bobby (Dafoe) as she and her friends explore the area and attempt to make the best of the summer.
