For Love of Ivy

Ivy More (Abbey Lincoln) is a maid who announces to her employers that she intends to leave for secretarial school.

In an attempt to prevent this, the family persuade shady but charming businessman Jack Parks (Sidney Poitier) to woo Ivy, believing that all she needs is a man in her life.

Parks, however, is more concerned with the casino operation he is running out of a giant truck, but although Ivy falls for him, she is less than impressed when she discovers that their romance has been stage-managed.
