Thomas Hengelbrock conducts the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester in this 2017 concert given to celebrate the opening of their new residence, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.

Featuring performances of works by Benjamin Britten, Olivier Messiaen and Jacob Praetorius, the concert invites soloists Philippe Jaroussky, Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, Wiebke Lehmkuhl, Pavol Breslik and Bryn Terfel to perform alongside the orchestra in this landmark concert in the orchestra's career.
