Happy End

Isabelle Huppert, Jean-Louis Trintignant and Mathieu Kassovitz star in this French drama written and directed by Michael Haneke, following the Laurent family as they experience a number of trials and tribulations.

Upset with her mother, young Eve (Fantine Harduin) leaves her in a coma by poisoning her.

Meanwhile, her aunt, Anne Laurent (Huppert), becomes embroiled in a costly legal battle after one of her employees is injured in an accident at their construction firm.

She does so while also caring for her father George (Trintignant), who suffers with dementia, and her troubled son Pierre (Franz Rogowski), who has a drinking problem, as events threaten to tear the family apart at their mansion in Calais.
