Hedwig and the Angry Inch - The Criterion Collection
John Cameron Mitchell writes, directs and stars in this musical comedy based on his play of the same name.
Hedwig (Mitchell) is a transgender rocker who has had her fair share of bad luck and has now fallen to stalking rock star Tommy Gnosis (Michael Pitt).
Hedwig and Tommy first met in the early 1990s and they quickly embarked upon a passionate love affair, but Tommy's difficulties with Hedwig's body soon got the better of him and he ran away with a batch of her songs, using them to make it big in the world of rock.
Now Hedwig has returned to redress the balance, and when Tommy stops to pick her up in his limousine, it seems she might finally have her chance...
