House of Strangers

Joseph L. Mankiewicz directs this classic film noir based on the novel 'I'll Never Go There Anymore' by Jerome Weidman.

When Italian-American banker Gino Monetti (Edward G.

Robinson) is sentenced to prison for his criminal methods, three of his four sons, led by eldest Joe (Luther Adler), are happy that their father is out of the way and take control of the bank in his absence.

Gino's other son, lawyer Max (Richard Conte), attempts to help his father but his siblings ensure he, too, ends up in jail.

Max becomes determined to get revenge but after seeing his father for what he really is, will he go through with his plans?
