Human Desire

Film noir drama directed by Fritz Lang. Jeff Warren (Glenn Ford) is a Korean War veteran who returns to his old job as a train engineer.

His short-tempered and hard-drinking colleague Carl Buckley (Broderick Crawford) suspects his wife Vicki (Gloria Grahame) of cheating on him and in a fit of rage murders the man he believes was part of the infidelity.

When called as a witness Jeff, aware that Vicki was present at the murder, lies under oath to keep her from harm because he has feelings for her.

As the pair begin an intense relationship and Vicki opens up about her unhappy marriage they attempt an audacious plan that will allow them to be together free from reproach.
