Comedy drama starring Adam Brody and Meg Ryan. After being dumped by his famous actress girlfriend, soft-core porn writer Carter Webb (Brody) travels to Detroit, Michigan to look after his sick grandmother.

He immediately hits it off with his grandmother's neighbours, housewife Sarah Hardwicke (Ryan) and her beautiful teenage daughter, Lucy (Kristen Stewart).
