In his dreams, Hannes finds himself back in 1930s Germany.

He is persecuted by his pupils and teachers. For Hannes is disabled and, like the Jews and social misfits, the Nazis have labelled him not worth living.

He finds solace in his mother. But has his father begun to believe Nazi propaganda?
