It has been inspired by, and prepared as a result of, collaboration between researchers across the world during crisis, and brings together academic input from researchers working on a wide array of issues related to educational questions around shortages, quality, equity, access equality, and contemporary times.

By sharing key messages for future research and policy makers, the authors seek to create and develop a positive future to all in response to current movements in society.

Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems’ model is implemented across chapters to allow discussion across multiple areas of relevance to education.

It is broken down into each of the systems within the ecological system, including the microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, macro system, and the chronosystem.

The use of the systems enables the mapping of innovation across time in the final chapter, which also provides opportunities for a visual representation with the ecological systems’ model.
