A Leap in the Dark

The year is 1798. David Stoddart lives in Edinburgh and is a respected town councillor by day and a thief by night.

After dark he prowls the streets robbing houses. Although he fights against his passions he is drawn back to the underworld like a moth to a flame.Addicted to gambling Stoddart forms a gang to increase his takings, but one night a raid goes badly wrong and he must flee for his life.
