Disney's guide to looking at painting

The National Gallery has joined forces with one of the most important creative entertainment organisations in the world to produce a fresh, invigorating guide to looking at paintings aimed at young children.

Written by two experienced writers - one the author of numerous National Gallery publications (including their best-seller Companion Guide), and the other an ex-children's book publisher (responsible for launching, among other things, the Conran Octopus children's list) - Disney's Story of Painting is entirely accessible, interactive and fun.

Strip-cartoons, icon graphics and bold, colourful characterisation all combine within a narrative account of various topics from Shape to Telling Stories.

The book includes 60 Disney illustrations and 300 paintings from the National Gallery collection, and provides a wonderful introduction to the beauty of painting that will delight parents and their children for many years to come.
