In England in 1889, 17-year-old William Twining (voice of Takuya Eguchi) accidentally summons the demon Dantalion (Takuma Terashima), who informs the teenager that, as a descendant of King Solomon, he must choose the temporary ruler of Hell.

Despite his refusal to believe in demons, William finds himself drawn into a battle between Heaven and Hell when more unholy figures appear in pursuit of the coveted title.
