Bel Canto

American drama in which a famous opera singer finds herself caught in the middle of a tense political standoff while performing in South America.

Invited to sing before an intimate yet influential audience, Roxanne Cross (Julianne Moore) captivates the attention of wealthy businessman Katsumi Hosokawa (Ken Watanabe).

Mid performance, however, a group of rebel fighters storm the building and everyone is taken hostage in a bid to attract the attention of the government and encourage them to free political prisoners.

Amidst the chaos, Roxanne and Hosokawa find solace in each other's company, and attempt to make the best of their volatile situation.

Will they be able to keep each other safe and avoid getting caught up on the wrong side?
