The Republic of Plato is the longest in his work, except the law, of course is the greatest of them.

The form and system of the state are more clearly defined in the law; as works of art, seminars and Protagoras art exhibitions have even higher advantages.

But none of Plato's other dialogues have the same point of view, perfect style; no other works show an equal understanding of the world, or contain more ideas that are new and old.

All in all, Plato has no deeper irony or richer humor or imagery, or more dramatic power.

Nor has he attempted to intertwin life and speculation, or to link politics to philosophy in his other works.
