A Quiet Place: Day One

Lupita Nyong'o stars in this horror prequel directed by Michael Sarnoski.

Sam (Nyong'o) has terminal cancer and is living at a hospice facility with her cat, Frodo.

She reluctantly agrees to join a group of patients on an outing into New York City but when aliens arrive on Earth and begin laying waste to humanity, she is caught in the apocalyptic chaos.

It quickly becomes apparent that the aliens cannot see but have excellent hearing and the only way to survive is to stay silent.

As the military prepares to evacuate survivors, Sam meets Eric (Joseph Quinn), a law student from England, and together they attempt to navigate this dangerous new world.

The cast also includes Djimon Hounsou and Alex Wolff.
