This volume contains the proceedings of the fifth Colloque Medecine et Re- cherche organized by the Fondation Ipsen pour la Recherche Therapeutique and devoted to Alzheimer's disease.

It was held in Lille on October 16, 1989 and dedicated to imaging, cerebral topography and Alzheimer's disease.

The proceedings will be published by the end of this year.
