The Early Adventures : The Forsaken

Last year Big Finish started a new range in which we created new old stories: inventive new tales featuring actors from the show's early years, with full cinematic sound design to give an effect of these shows reaching you from the past...This year four fresh releases in the range visit the Second Doctor era: The TARDIS lands on an island off Singapore during the Japanese invasion of 1942.

The travellers are found by some British soldiers - among them a certain Private James Jackson, who just happens to be Ben's father.

But they're not the only visitors to the island...Frazer Hines revisits his role as Jamie, a companion of the Second Doctor (played on television by Patrick Troughton) back in 1966-69. Styled on the BBC audio reconstructions of the missing Doctor Who episodes, this gives a unique listing experience for fans of Doctor Who's early years...Actress Gabrielle Glaister is well known as "Bob" in Blackadder, as well as for her far more serious appearance as Patricia Farnham in Brookside.
