Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Andy Serkis and James Franco star in this sci-fi action reboot directed by Rupert Wyatt.

Will Rodman (Franco) is a scientist attempting to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease and as part of his work, he uses chimpanzees as test subjects for the drug he is developing.

He raises the infant son of his first test subject, studying him as he grows, and is shocked by what he witnesses.

Caesar (Serkis) is highly intelligent and as he begins to question his origins and his place in the world, he sparks a revolution.

As humans and apes vie for supremacy, violence is inevitable.

The cast also includes Freida Pinto, Brian Cox and David Oyelowo.
