Trusted Guardians : Inside the Mounted Regiment

A celebration of British heritage, Trusted Guardians are the monarch’s personal bodyguards and have been so since 1660.

They hold an iconic position in British society as a keeper of heritage and ceremony, recognised globally as the benchmark of British pageantry and national identity.

In public ceremonies the women and men of the regiment come across as one military unit, and their uniforms blend all of the individuals into one ceremonial and fighting unit. This book gets behind the scenes and explores the individuals that make up this formidable unified regiment in training and recreation, as well as in ceremonial splendour. The photography has been captured over the course of almost two years and describes the timelessness of regimental life, and particular the companionship of Horse and Soldier.
