The attorney claims that Rome and his wife Teena (Debra Paget) were involved in a jewel heist which left a woman dead, forcing police Lt.

Candella (Mature) to investigate the allegations. But the lieutenant's task is complicated by his friendship with Rome's family, having grown up with the criminal who is now determined to prove his innocence.
