Hein Maths 9 Teachers Notes

The "Heinemann Mathematics" series is a lively new resource, intended to make maths interesting and relevant for pupils.

It has been designed to place maths in real-life contexts, help pupils become confident problem-solvers, help pupils use and apply maths skills, ensure continuity and progression for high and low attainers, offer detailed teacher support and match the new curricula in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. "Heinemann Mathematics 9", intended for Year 9, provides revision and consolidation of Level 5 and main coverage of Level 6 material.

These concise "Teacher's Notes" are intended to provide a sound framework for teachers to build on, with suggestions for using and extending the pupil materials.

Clear teacher's headings on each page of pupil material indicate where the mathematical content is covered, and each page is cross-referenced to the new Attainment Targets in the "Teacher's Notes".

Simple record-keeping charts also help teachers record evidence of pupils' attainment.
