Since the death of her mother, 12-year-old Georgie (Campbell) has been living alone in their council house, struggling with her grief and stealing bicycles to earn money, all the while pretending to any prying adults that her uncle is there with her.

Only her best friend Ali (Alin Uzun) knows the truth until Jason (Dickinson), the father Georgie has never met, appears on her doorstep.

Slowly, they begin to get to know each other, realising that they are more alike than they had initially thought, but can Georgie trust that Jason won't abandon her again?
