See and Learn Language and Reading - First Word Pictures (UK English ed)

The See and Learn Language and Reading - First Word Pictures is the first step in the See and Learn Language and Reading programme - a series of activities specially developed to help children who have Down syndrome learn to talk and to read.

The programme provides instructions, materials and checklists to help families effectively support their child's early language development. See and Learn First Word Pictures is designed for children who are at the first stage of learning language.

It contains activities and resources to help children learn 60 common first words using pictures.

This step also prepares children for learning to read by helping them develop their visual skills through matching and selecting activities.

They will use these skills during later stages of the See and Learn programme.
