Ernest Seton was a naturalist, prolific author, and award winning illustrator who usually signed his letters with a paw print.

A Native American spirit worshipping rebel, who didn't always bathe, he married twice and was sought after to speak at conferences around the globe.

He was appointed Official Naturalist to the Government of Manitoba in 1893, a title held until his death.

He wrote many books including the popular "Wild Animals I Have Known".
