Basil Rathbone's 12th outing as the master detective Sherlock Holmes.

When the King of Rovenia is assassinated, Holmes is hired to accompany Nicholas, the heir to that country's throne, on his journey back home.

Travelling by ocean liner to Algiers, Holmes and Watson (Nigel Bruce) take on a series of assassins and kidnappers as they fight to keep their young charge from suffering any harm.
