Sustainable Settlement Issues

This programme examines the concept of urban sustainability and looks at the changes that can be made to improve quality of life locally, nationally and globally.

Using examples from around the world, the programme shows how individuals and urban authorities are introducing strategies such as public transport initiatives and recycling centres to create sustainable settlements that will meet the needs of present and future inhabitants with a reduced ecological footprint.
