Struggling actor Mike (Jon Favreau) left a six-year relationship behind in New York when he moved to Hollywood in search of stardom.

But he cannot get over his ex, Michelle, who has now embarked on a new relationship.

In an attempt to cheer Mike up, his friends take him out for a night on the town, hitting various clubs and bars.

Their attempts to find solace in the arms of willing females find varying degrees of success.
