The Stranglers of Bombay

Terence Fisher directs this 1950s adventure horror from Hammer Films which recreates the British defeat of the murderous Kali devil cult in India in the 1830s.

The cult specialises in strangulation as a means of driving the British from their trading station, and when their methods significantly disrupt trade, the British East India Company turn to Captain Christopher Connaught-Smith (Allan Cuthbertson) to restore order.

Meanwhile, Captain Harry Lewis (Guy Rolfe) begins his own investigation into the cult.
