Universe/The Planets

Professor Brian Cox presents both of these documentary miniseries that explore the dynamics of outer space.

In 'Universe' (2021) Cox explores the vastness of the universe and looks at some of the events that have shaped the cosmos into what it is today.

The episodes are: 'The Sun: God Star', 'Alien Worlds: The Search for Second Earth', 'The Milky Way: Island of Light', 'Black Holes: Heart of Darkness' and 'The Big Bang: Before the Dawn'.

In 'The Planets' (2019) recent NASA discoveries and footage shot from space are used to explore how all eight planets have evolved over time.

The episodes are: 'A Moment in the Sun: The Terrestrial Planets', 'The Two Sisters: Earth & Mars', 'The Godfather: Jupiter', 'Life Beyond the Sun: Saturn' and 'Into the Darkness: Ice Worlds'.
