Lecture Notes on Human Biochemistry aims to provide students with the "core" of biochemical knowledge that is needed for them to pass examinations, and to give them a good grounding in the basic science that will ultimately shape their understanding of the pathophysiology of disease.

At the same time, a prime objective of the book is to make it clinically relevant.

The authors of this book are drawn intentionally from both sides of the fence, the "pure" biochemist and "clinical" biochemist are working together to produce a book that will appeal to anyone who wants a quick reference medically orientated introduction to biochemistry.
